The Kraak (church studio/apartment)

'De Kraak' church studio is an apartment with all amenities. With fully equipped kitchen, oven and dishwasher.

The church studio is located on the gallery in the church tower where the church organ used to be. Singers and the choir also used to sing here. The studio is fully equipped: a double bed, bathroom in the church tower, a complete kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and inventory (from cutlery, plates, pans to egg cups and baking paper). The studio also has a Nespresso coffee machine and a kettle.

De Kraak is a spacious studio with all the facilities for a relaxing stay; it has an adjoining library that can be used as a separate living room . Where you can read or play games. Wifi is free. If you want to watch TV or YouTube, bring your iPad or tablet.

On request, a baby bed can be placed next to the double bed in De Kraak.

De Kraak is located on the former balcony gallery of the church where the organ used to be (in Frisian: de Kreake, gallery in a church near the organ). Until 2016, a classic 16th century Van Dam organ was located here in Jirnsum, which was sold after the church closed. The organ has been restored and is now located in the village church of Zoeterwoude in the Randstad. In our De Kraak studio there is a photo of the restored organ, which can be heard every Sunday in Zoeterwoude.
